The Keego Harbor Optimist Club sponsors many activities throughout the year that provide children in the Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake and Sylvan Lake Area with an opportunity to enjoy family fun activities. Examples of these activities are our Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Event and Family Bowling. We also host a student oratorical contest that has local winners competing at regional and district levels. Our highest priority is to provide scholarships for local graduating high school students to attend college.
We have established a scholarship fund that has given thousands of dollars to students who may be the first members of their family to attend college. Our various fund-raising activities support this scholarship fund as well as many of our other services, including sponsoring a cub scouts troop and a mentoring program for elementary students.
